Vir Patel 

Vir is a Pine View School graduate who is currently enrolled in his second year at the BS/DO program at Nova Southeastern University. Vir graduated high school scoring into 98%+ percentile into his SAT program and maintaining a GPA above 4.0. He currently maintains a 4.0 GPA in his University. He has numerous extracurricular activities, including medical international trips as part of the NOVA medical outreach program. 

​

In our office, Vir is learning to the aspects of being a scribe and medical helper. Managing patient demographics and various forms, recording physician visits and orders dictated by the providers, and managing billing and coding for various visits. He has learned to use the electronic medical record system efficiently, making sure each patient records are completed by the providers and up to date. He also has learned to follow up on claims submitted, schedule peer-to-peer for the providers, and ensure each claim is successfully processed. 

​

Rose

Rose is a vibrant, hard working and enthusiastic assistant manager. She was previously a front desk receptionist and coordinator, and was promoted this year. She is pursuing a Bachelors in Science while working and is very dedicated to her job. Her passion is to go above and beyond for each patient!

 

Her job includes interviewing and hiring employees, and managing the day-to-day activities of a pediatric practice.

Corenita Vancil 

Corenita is our medical assistant, and she is truly amazing at her job! She has tremendous experience from working as a medical assistant at Millennium for years. 

Some of her job responsibilities include: 

  • Taking medical histories.

  • Explaining treatment procedures to patients and printing post-procedure forms, vaccine forms, and etc. 

  • Preparing patients for examinations.

  • Assisting the physician during examinations.

  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.

  • Performing basic laboratory tests. 

  • Instructing patients about medication and special diets.

  • Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant). 

  • Transmitting prescription refills as directed.

  • Phlebotomy.

  • Taking electrocardiograms.

  • Wound care and changing dressings.

Amanda Ryan

Amanda is an experienced medical assistant. Previously Amanda had worked at Millennium, pain management, gastroenterology and other primary care setting. She has experience with both adult medicine and pediatrics. 

​

Some of her job responsibilities include: 

  • Taking medical histories.

  • Explaining treatment procedures to patients and printing post-procedure forms, vaccine forms, and etc. 

  • Preparing patients for examinations.

  • Assisting the physician during examinations.

  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.

  • Performing basic laboratory tests. 

  • Instructing patients about medication and special diets.

  • Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant).

  • Taking care of her 5 year old daughter and being an amazing mom! 

  • Coordinating a medical plan between the provider, patient and other staff. 

  • Ensuring follow-up appointments are made and sending referrals.

Sanela Hasanbegovic

Sanela is a caring, vibrant and additional front desk receptionist and coordinator.  She loves children and has previously worked in the medical setting, and for a modeling/talent agency. 

 

Some of her job responsibilities are summarized below: 

  • Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.

  • Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.

  • Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.

  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.

  • Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.

  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.

  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.

  • Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.

  • Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.

  • Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.

  • Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
