Vir Patel 

Vir is a Pine View School graduate who is currently enrolled in his second year at the BS/DO program at Nova Southeastern University. Vir graduated high school scoring into 98%+ percentile into his SAT program and maintaining a GPA above 4.0. He currently maintains a 4.0 GPA in his University. He has numerous extracurricular activities, including medical international trips as part of the NOVA medical outreach program. 

​

In our office, Vir is learning to the aspects of being a scribe and medical helper. Managing patient demographics and various forms, recording physician visits and orders dictated by the providers, and managing billing and coding for various visits. He has learned to use the electronic medical record system efficiently, making sure each patient records are completed by the providers and up to date. He also has learned to follow up on claims submitted, schedule peer-to-peer for the providers, and ensure each claim is successfully processed.

Miranda Quinton

Miranda is our registered nurse (RN), and she is truly amazing at her job! She has tremendous experience from working as a RN for years, and has currently finished NP school! She is taking the exam to obtain a nurse practitioner license in late 2024. 

​

Some of her job responsibilities include: 

  • Taking medical histories.

  • Explaining treatment procedures to patients and printing post-procedure forms, vaccine forms, and etc. 

  • Preparing patients for examinations.

  • Assisting the physician during examinations.

  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.

  • Performing basic laboratory tests. 

  • Instructing patients about medication and special diets.

  • Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant). 

  • Transmitting prescription refills as directed.

  • Phlebotomy.

  • Taking electrocardiograms.

  • Wound care and changing dressings.

Amanda Ryan

Amanda is an experienced medical assistant. Previously Amanda had worked at Millennium, pain management, gastroenterology and other primary care setting. She has experience with both adult medicine and pediatrics. 

​

Some of her job responsibilities include: 

  • Taking medical histories.

Sanela Hasanbegovic

Alyssa Tyre, RN

Alyssa is an caring and devoted Registered Nurse. She loves animals and has a dog! She's also a proud mommy. 

​

Sanela is a caring and vibrant manager.  She loves children and has previously worked in the medical setting, and for a modeling/talent agency. She is a proud mom to 3 kiddos and 2 doggies! 

 

Some of her job responsibilities are summarized below: 

  • Supervises the daily operation of the office, including helping staff establish deadlines for work assignment and completion, and monitoring work status and progress. Re-allocates staff resources as appropriate based on daily physician schedules, time-off, and capacity. Fosters teamwork between staff and physicians.

  • Actively participates in the daily operation of the offices.

  • Provides assistance to office staff members in order to ensure the office runs orderly for the physicians and patients.

  • Responsible for managing personnel related activities including, scheduling hours, accurate timekeeping, attendance, time off requests, leave of absences, employee relations issues, performance evaluations and overtime management.

  • Manages office level billing procedures, patient registration, diagnosis coding, applicable collection of co-payment and outstanding balances from patients while ensuring full compliance with established cash control policies and procedures.

  • Functions as the liaison between physicians, CRMA administration, human resources, billing, credentialing, IS, accounts payable, and other areas for the office.

  • Assists in the recruiting, hiring and training and development of staff.

  • Works with ancillary services and/or renters which reside in the office space, as applicable, to ensure seamless customer service to our patients and help services work efficiently.

  • Responsible for managing purchases and submitting invoices for payment.

  • Ensures that patients are treated courteously by office staff and that other visitors are screened and properly directed. Promotes a customer service orientation among staff members.

  • Maintains the physical property and equipment of the office including arranging for routine and emergency maintenance with landlord and outside vendors.

  • Manages physician call and coverage schedules.

  • Ensures office is in compliance with regulatory requirements including: safety, OSHA, HIPAA, employment and labor laws, state and federal guidelines.

  • Actively participates in patient complaint procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.
